Arkipelaga Ltd (below referred to as “Arkipelaga” or “we”) is a registered company that keeps a customer register and collects and processes personal data in accordance with applicable law, including the General Data Protection Regulation. The collecting and processing of data is based on a customer relationship, contract, consent or legal requirement. This notice provides information about the data collected.

3. Purpose of processing personal data
Legal basis for keeping the register:
- Personal data is processed on the basis of a registered customer relationship and contract
or establishing a customer relationship. - Personal data is processed on the basis of consent (for example when contact details are given to Arkipelaga or when consent to receive marketing material is given on a written form).
Arkipelaga uses its register to handle customer relationships and fulfil commitments to contracts and applicable legislation.

5. Rights of individuals included in the register

Right of information and access
Right to be informed of which personal data are included in the register.
Right of rectification
Right to demand rectification of incorrect or incomplete personal data.
Right to restrict processing
Right to request that the processing of personal data is restricted if it conflicts with current legislation.
Right to object to direct marketing
Right to object to personal data being used for direct marketing purposes.
Right of erasure
Right to request the erasure of personal data if it is no longer necessary. In this case, Arkipelaga will either erase the data or provide a good explanation for not doing so. Please note that Arkipelaga may have legal or contractual obligations not to erase data, for example the obligation to keep book-keeping material on archive for 10 years.
Right to withdraw consent
Right to withdraw consent. This applies if the processing of personal data is based on given consent only, not for example on a customer relationship. In unclear cases, the person included in the register has the right to limit the processing of his/her personal data until the case has been settled.
Right to file a complaint
Right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Ombudsman if it is felt that Arkipelaga has processed personal data in a manner that does not comply with current legislation. In this case, please contact Arkipelaga first to try to settle the matter.

6. Transferral of data to third parties
We do not transfer or submit personal data to any third party or third country without the consent of the individual in question. All personal data is stored within the EU or the EEA.
7. Duration of data processing and storage
Personal data is usually processed while the customer relationship in question remains active. Personal data may be stored for longer, for example for accounting purposes.
8. Processors of personal data
The customer register is used by staff and directors of Arkipelaga when necessary for its operations.
Limited access to the register may be temporarily granted to our suppliers of accounting or auditing services, and to IT services or other electronic services when necessary for programming updates, technical support services or similar. If so, a contract will be made to ensure correct treatment of the data in accordance with data protection laws.
9. Automated decisions or profiling
Personal data is not used for automated decisions or profiling.
10. Cookies
Arkipelaga’s internet sites use cookies to analyse data traffic. Cookies are small pieces of data sent to your computer when you visit a website. Cookies are used to give access to functions and services and to collect limited information about the visitor. Any information and personal data saved through our website with the visitor’s consent, for example on a contact request form, are used by Arkipelaga only to contact the sender and are never transferred to any third party.
Cookies from Google Analytics register for example visitor behaviour, such as how the visitor found our site, length of stay, internal searches performed on the site and how many webpages were accessed on our site. All information is processed anonymously. We do not collect any personal data through these cookies, such as name, email address, postal address or phone number.
